We have an opening for a full-time legal assistant.
Experience with licensing, real estate and/or business transactions preferred.
Job duties will include assisting with real estate and business transaction files; Preparation and filing of business license applications; Preparation or typing of correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents with direction and assistance from attorneys; Coordinating client meetings and scheduling with multiple parties; Opening, closing and managing files; Sending out firm invoices and statements; Collecting firm accounts receivable; Organizing and managing electronic and paper files; Answering phones; Reviewing and routing incoming mail.
The ideal candidate will have good skills in Microsoft Word, Adobe and Outlook.
Good organization skills, attention to detail, and follow-up are critical.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
